OnLakeSuperior.com was founded to showcase people, businesses, events, and adventures all around Lake Superior. We love this region we call home, and want to share our experiences with the world.

Our staff has nearly two decades of experience in the online publishing industry. Members of our team have created & sold successful online properties, worked behind-the-scenes in the digital advertising industry, and even written novels.

We write articles and produce videos that feature all the things we encounter and enjoy On Lake Superior, and help others learn about what this incredible area has to offer. We use our many years of experience in online publishing to craft stories that not only resonate with readers but are also well-placed on search engines and widely shared on social media for lasting, long-term exposure.

Travis R. is a writer whose multi-genre pieces draw on his eclectic background in fiction, essay, and memoir. If he’s not reading or writing, there’s a good chance he’s sleeping. Christina
Writer

Christina grew up in a small town in Wisconsin with a deep connection to Lake Superior and the surrounding areas. Now living in the Twin Cities, you’ll find that you can take the girl away from the lake’s shore…but she’ll always gravitate right back to it.

While her main focus in life is her family, she has a passion for helping others, traveling and cooking. Her lifelong love of thrifting has brought her into the realm of resale and she’s always on the hunt for an amazing deal. So if you can’t find Christina; check the shores of Lake Superior, the local coffee shop, and the thrift store in that order!

How we Write Reviews & Earn Affiliate Commissions

At OnLakeSuperior.com, we take pride in providing honest and thorough reviews of products, services, businesses, and activities—because we live near Lake Superior and want this incredible area to thrive. We genuinely care about helping people enjoy all that this region has to offer, just as much as we do.

Our approach to reviews is based on rigorous independent research, testing, and interviews. While we may earn commissions through affiliate programs, we only recommend products and services we believe in. There’s no benefit to us in pushing subpar choices—if anything, we lose out if our recommendations fall short, because that trust matters to us deeply. When you return something that didn’t live up to expectations, we make no commission, so it keeps us focused on finding the right fit for our readers.

Every review we publish is driven by what’s best for you and what we’ve enjoyed ourselves, not by advertising deals. Whether it’s a week of research or months of testing, we put in the time because these are the same products and services we would recommend to our family and friends here in the Lake Superior region.

Above all, reader trust is our priority. Our goal is to make your experience in the area as enjoyable and rewarding as ours by ensuring that you get the best products and experiences, without wasting time or money on things that don’t live up to the beauty and spirit of Lake Superior.

We try to feature locally-made products and locally-owned businesses whenever possible. If you know of a product, service, activity, etc. that you’d like us to review, please send us an email at: moc.roirepusekalno@saedi. We can’t guarantee a review, but we’ll be happy to take a look and have a chat with you.
